About Schroeder's Lawn & Garden, LLC

Out past the Lewis Avenue crossroads, Bedford Township still opens into farm fields wide enough to show a person the entire sky. Schroeder's Lawn & Garden works that flat, generous country — mowing lines drawn straight because there is nothing out here to hide a crooked one, borders trimmed until the grass meets the concrete in one clean seam. Come the turn of the year the trucks go out with plows on, and a driveway that vanished under a Monroe County snowfall reappears curb to garage door. There is a plain pleasure in a yard that looks tended and a drive that looks passable, and it is a pleasure worth chasing at both ends of the calendar. Lawn care while the ground is soft, snow removal once it isn't, all of it within a short run of home.
