Turf Tamer Lawns

About Turf Tamer Lawns

There is open sky on the north side of Battle Creek out by the airport, and grass that grows the way grass grows when nothing shades it — fast, thick and stubborn by the third week of June. Turf Tamer Lawns meets it head-on: mowing at the right height, trimming tight to posts and fence lines, cutting the edge where lawn meets pavement so the boundary looks like a decision rather than an accident. Done well, a mowed yard has a grain to it, and the color shifts as you walk around the house. That is the small, real reward of lawn care, and it comes back around every seventh day from April to October. Battle Creek grows a great deal of grass. Somebody has to keep it honest.
