Up North Snow Co.

About Up North Snow Co.

Ask anyone in Michigan what Up North means and they will describe a place like Backus Township: woodsmoke, star-thick January nights, cold that squeaks underfoot. Up North Snow Co. works in that cold, plowing and clearing snow so homes and cabins open onto a passable world each morning. Picture the blue hour when the yard light still hums and the plowed lane glows beneath it, banks squared off and the walk scraped down to bare ground. That is the scene this outfit works toward: a driveway that looks as if the storm forgot to visit. In country built for weekends at the lake and winters that mean it, a cleared path is its own kind of welcome home.
