About Owen Tree Service

Attica's country is gravel ridge and woodlot, oak and hickory standing in the fencerows between fields that run on toward the Lapeer hills. Owen Tree Service works that mix — taking down the big oaks gone hollow beside a barn, trimming crowns back off houses and drives, pruning young hardwoods so they grow with one leader instead of three. Thunderheads build in the west on a summer afternoon and it does not take much to put a top across a two-track, so storm damage cleanup is part of the rhythm of the season. The pleasure is all in the after — a clear lane, a level yard, sun back on the grass. Attica, Imlay City, Lapeer, Dryden, Metamora and North Branch.
