About R Rasch Inc

Along Ann Arbor–Saline Road the aprons and loading docks have to be open before the first shift, whatever fell overnight. R Rasch Inc runs snow: plowing drives and lots, cutting walkways through to the doors, stacking piles where they will not melt back across the pavement, and salting what a blade cannot lift. Storms in Washtenaw County like to begin in the evening and finish after midnight, which makes the small hours the working day. The measure of the job is simple — a property that opens on time, with clear lanes and somewhere to put a car. None of it is glamorous, and every bit of it is noticed the morning it is missing.
