Alpena Snow Pros

About Alpena Snow Pros

This is the Sunrise Side, and in January the light comes up over a bay locked in plate ice and shove ridges, laying pink across a whole town's worth of untouched snow. Alpena Snow Pros likes to be finished before that show is over. The work is plowing and blowing out driveways, clearing lots so a shift can park, and hand-shoveling the steps and sidewalks where a blade cannot reach, with salt or sand set down on the slick spots. A storm off Lake Huron can hang around two days and leave something new every hour, so the route runs, and then runs again. What gets handed back at the end of it is an ordinary morning: keys, coffee, a clear way out to US-23.
