About Alpena Area Contracting Company

North of the Thunder Bay River the ground is limestone all the way down, and this township has always been a place that works outdoors in whatever the sky sends. Alpena Area Contracting Company takes the winter side of that bargain: plow trucks rolling when the wind swings northeast and the bay starts throwing snow inland, drives and lots opened before the first shift of the morning. Banks get pushed back far enough that the next storm has somewhere to go, and the slick corners get treated before anyone has to think about them. Snow up here does not fall politely — it arrives sideways and stays — and the answer is simply showing up again. A cleared lot on a gray January morning is its own kind of good news.
