About ZPS
After a night of snow the township comes up blue and silent, every fence post wearing its own small drift. ZPS is out in that light with a truck and a blade, finding concrete under six inches of new white and pushing it back where it will not blow in again by dinner. Walks and steps get shoveled by hand and salted, because that is the stretch of ground people actually stand on. Ottawa County storms arrive off the lake in bands, one after another, so a cleared drive is a thing you keep clearing. The good part of the work is watching a property go from impassable to open in the space of a morning.
