There is a line where a lawn is supposed to stop, and most of the year nobody notices it until it is wrong. Straight edge landscape spends its days on that line — mowing the open ground, then cutting the border along walks, drives and beds until the grass ends exactly where it should. October is the month the work reads best, the low sun raking across a yard and every edge throwing its own small shadow. Leaves come down fast in the township and the cleanup that follows is half the job. Simple work, honestly done, and a yard that looks composed rather than merely cut.
