Royalty Lawn and Snow

About Royalty Lawn and Snow

A January squall crosses Allendale sideways, and by evening the streetlights are just cones of moving white. Royalty Lawn and Snow goes out into that, pushing drives back to their full width and cutting a clear path from the door to the car with shovel and salt. There is a kind of dignity in a driveway plowed square to its edges while the rest of the block is still buried. Come the warm months the work changes hands entirely — mowing, trimming, edging, and hauling the clippings off so the walk stays clean. One property, two very different kinds of weather, and the same standard applied to both.
