Holden Homescapes

About Holden Homescapes

When the wind swings around to the west, Allegan knows what is coming: lake-effect off Lake Michigan, twenty miles inland and still heavy enough to bury a driveway by morning. Holden Homescapes runs the night shift against it — plowing, clearing walks, salting the ice that hides beneath fresh powder. There is a specific pride in a drive opened before dawn, headlights sweeping a clean apron of pavement while the rest of the street is still white. Storms here come in bands, so the work comes in rounds, back through the same routes until the sky quits. Winter is long in this county, and the object stays simple: nobody stuck.
