On a January dawn the Rogue River still steams a little where it runs open, and everything around it lies muffled and blue. Camp Lawn Care & Snowplowing is already moving at that hour, plowing driveways and clearing walks so nobody has to dig a path out to the road. When the melt arrives the plow comes off and the mowers go on — weekly cuts, trimming, edging, straight through the summer. There is real pride in both halves of that: an opened drive at six in the morning, a mown yard at six at night. West Michigan hands out plenty of both to do.
