About JLS

On Michigan's Sunrise Coast, the first light of a winter day comes straight off Lake Huron, and after a December storm it finds Alcona drifted in and still. JLS is out ahead of that dawn, clearing driveways and opening the way from the house to the road. Wind off the big lake sculpts snow into ridges across lots and lanes, and JLS works them flat again, pushing the drifts to the margins so cars can turn and walks stay passable. When the sun finally lifts over the water, the drive lies black and clear behind it.
