Slusarski Excavating & Paving Inc. handles the snow side of Adrian winters, working the wide pavement — plowing lots and drives, clearing walkways, laying salt and sand where the melt will refreeze after dark. Broad flat ground is its own problem: nowhere obvious to stack, wind that undoes an hour's work, and a pitch that carries water exactly where you do not want it. Doing it right means reading the lot before the first pass and leaving room for the four storms still to come.
