The Kiwanis Trail follows the River Raisin through Adrian, and you can read the whole year off it — mud, then that first startling green, then leaves turning in the water, then the packed white of a path nobody has walked yet. Adrian Tradesman keeps pace with that calendar, mowing and trimming and edging through the growing months, then turning to the plow blade and the salt bucket once the county roads go to glass. Spring and fall cleanups are their own satisfaction here: hauling off what the wind pulled out of the maples and leaving a yard open and clean-lined again. Winter is simpler and harder — get the drive open, get the walk down to concrete, get it done before the household needs it. Adrian and the townships wrapped around it are worth doing carefully.
