By mid-October the big elms along Main Street let go all at once, and half of Yarmouth wakes to a lawn it can no longer see. Jack Ryan Landscaping spends those weeks raking, blowing and hauling until the turf shows green again, then swaps to plow gear before the ground goes hard. There is a real satisfaction in a yard stripped clean the day before a cold rain, and in a driveway opened at four in the morning so somebody can get to work on time. Mowing and trimming through the warm months, cleanups in the fall, plowing and salt once winter takes over. The town changes color three times a year; the work just changes tools.
