About South End Landscape ( "South End Wood Shop & Landscape" )
Days Ferry sits low on the Kennebec, white houses under old shade trees, the river sliding past with the tide going one way and then the other. South End Landscape works that stretch of Woolwich all the way around the calendar. Through the growing months it's mowing, trimming, edging, mulched beds and clearings that bracket the season; when the cold sets in it's plowing, shoveling and sanding to keep drives and walkways usable. Riverside yards get everything the weather has — salt wind, wet snow, leaves off enormous maples — and they need somebody actually paying attention. Watching a yard come back green in May after being pushed clear all winter is a good reason to keep doing this.
