February empties the Wiscasset waterfront — moorings gone, the wind coming straight up the Sheepscot with nothing at all to slow it. Steele's Landscaping is busiest right about then: plowing driveways, shoveling walks and steps, and putting sand and salt on the pitch where the road drops toward the water. By May the same properties want mowing, trimming, edging, mulch and a thorough spring clearing, and the whole operation runs the other direction. Working a town year-round means knowing every property twice — once under grass, once under snow — and learning which corners give trouble in each. Both versions get left clean, which is the only standard that matters here.
