From the fire tower on Mount Pisgah you can see how Winthrop is put together: lakes set in green bowls, hayfields running over the ridges, and the small bright rectangles of mown yards scattered between them. Elysium Landscaping tends those rectangles — regular mowing, trimming and edging, mulch laid dark around the beds, seed worked in where the ground has gone thin. June is the month when everything wants to grow at once, and the only real answer is to show up week after week until a lawn finds a rhythm of its own. The best moment comes on the walk back to the truck, when low light rakes across a yard cut clean and the bed edges hold a sharp, deliberate line. Autumn brings the hillside oaks down onto all of it, and those leaves get gathered too.
