About Peckham Forestry Products LLC

Storms arrive in West Gardiner without much ceremony — a gray afternoon, then six inches by supper and the woods roads gone soft and white. Peckham Forestry Products LLC handles the snow side of that: plowing driveways and yards, clearing walkways and entries by hand, and putting down sand or salt where the ice sets up hardest. Between Collins Mills and the Richmond line the drives run long and the wind loads the open stretches, so a pass at midnight is rarely the last pass of the night. The reward is small and complete — a dooryard opened, a mailbox reachable, somebody's Tuesday made possible again. Come March the plow banks go gray and shrink back, and the town exhales.
