About Petrella Tree Service, LLC

Wells goes quiet in November — the marsh grass gone tawny, the Webhannet running clear, Route 1 finally empty — and that is when the trees get their turn. Petrella Tree Service, LLC prunes and trims through the cold months, working the oaks and pitch pines that grow salt-bent toward Drakes Island, and removing what the last few winters have loosened. Ocean storms hit this town sideways, so cleanup is a regular part of the calendar: limbs off a shingle roof, a crown out of a hedge, the yard put back together before the light goes. There is a particular satisfaction in a clean cut on a good tree and a lawn with nothing left lying on it. Wells, Ogunquit, Moody, Kennebunk, York and Sanford.
