The St. George peninsula runs south into the sea in long, rocky fingers, with Tenants Harbor tucked along one shore and Port Clyde waiting at the tip. Hoppes Tree Service takes care of lawns out here, mowing and edging where the grass gives way to ledge and dark spruce. Coastal grass keeps its own clock, held back by cool sea air in June and then hurried along by bright, breezy afternoons.
