About Fraz Lawn Care & Landscaping

Coburn Park in July is all shade and slope, the grass running down toward the river in long green folds — the standard the rest of town mows to. Fraz Lawn Care & Landscaping meets it week after week: mowing on a schedule that keeps the color even, trimming close around trees, walls and posts, edging the walks so the line between lawn and pavement is a decision rather than an accident. Spring starts with a cleanup that rakes sand and winter litter out of the turf; fall ends with the leaves gone before the first freeze locks them down. On a Skowhegan evening, with the light coming sideways up off the water, a lawn cut in clean stripes looks like something somebody meant. That is the whole ambition.
