About New Leaf Construction, Inc.

The nor'easters come up the coast at night, and by two in the morning the back roads out through Glen Cove and Simonton Corner have gone anonymous under white. New Leaf Construction, Inc. runs the routes then — plowing drives and parking areas, clearing walks, sanding the pitched spots that catch a car sideways. Building all year teaches you how a site drains and where the drifts will pile, and that knowledge is worth a great deal at four in the morning. The reward is small and real: headlights on bare pavement, a mailbox standing free, a driveway that lets the day start on time. Rockport wakes and the storm is already behind it.
