About Farley Inc.

Winter arrives in Rockport off the water, gray and sideways, and the harbor takes it first. Farley Inc. is out in it — plowing driveways and lots, clearing walkways, spreading sand and salt while the moorings sit empty and the streetlights still hold. There is a particular satisfaction in a dooryard opened clean to the pavement before anyone has pulled a coat on. Storms here can turn to rain and back again within the hour, so the work gets done twice as often as the forecast suggests. From the shore road to the hills behind town, the aim is simple: a way out, ready when you are.
