Rangeley runs on two calendars: the long white one, and the short green one that starts at ice-out and is over before anyone is ready. Mike Cerminara Landscaping works both, plowing camp roads and driveways through the deep months and mowing the same properties once the lake opens and Saddleback loses its last patches. Winter here is measured in feet, not inches, which means clearing has to keep ahead of the storms and leave room for the ones still coming. Summer is a sprint — grass, trimming, and yards brought back after eight months under snow. Opening a drive so somebody can reach their camp, in either season, is the same good feeling.
