Clay's Lawn Care

About Clay's Lawn Care

Past the last streetlight, where Presque Isle loosens into gravel roads running toward Chapman and Westfield, the dusk lingers and the dew arrives early. Clay's Lawn Care mows out that way as well as in town — big dooryards, ditch banks, the strip of grass between a farmhouse and the field it faces. Country lawns have their own demands: rough ground, hidden stones, edges that meet gravel instead of curb, and a trim line that has to be walked rather than driven. Getting it right means a yard that looks tended without looking fussy, which is the taste out here. Come evening the mower cools in the truck bed and the road home runs straight for miles.
