About Precision Whacking Lawn Care

Morning fog lifts off the Kennebec and slides up through the Pittston fields, and by eight the grass has dried just enough to cut. Precision Whacking Lawn Care works that window, mowing the long river-road lawns and running the trimmer down fence lines, mailbox posts and the awkward ground under old apple trees. The name is a joke about the tool and a promise about the line it leaves, straight and even from the driveway to the treeline. Spring means raking out whatever winter left behind; October means moving leaves before they mat down over the beds. Across the water the lights of Gardiner come on, and another Pittston yard stands cut, edged and quiet for the week.
