About Downeast Lawn Care LLC

Perry sits on the 45th parallel, halfway between the equator and the pole, and the light keeps that promise: June mornings that open before four, January afternoons that fold shut by three. Downeast Lawn Care LLC works both ends of it, mowing and trimming through the long bright stretch when fog drifts in off Passamaquoddy Bay and burns away by nine, then plowing and sanding when the same road turns to glass. Tides run enormous along Gleason Cove, the grass runs fast after a wet week, and both get answered on time. Cleanups take the winter's wrack in spring and the leaf fall in autumn, leaving the lawn edges sharp against the driveway again. It is steady, useful work in a town that has always measured itself by water and weather.
