Smartscape

About Smartscape

Late May in Palermo is stone walls surfacing out of last year's leaves, old apple trees blooming in the corners of fields, and grass coming up faster than anybody planned for. Smartscape meets that with mowing, trimming and edging on a schedule, and with spring and fall cleanups that clear the winter debris and set a lawn up to thicken. Yards here are shaped by whatever the land used to be — a pasture edge, an orchard row, a garden plot gone quiet — and cutting them well means respecting those shapes. A lawn mown close against a rough stone wall belongs to this corner of Waldo County entirely. Palermo, China, Freedom, Montville, Liberty and Windsor are all on the map.
