About Marcotte's Tree Care Inc.

Thompson Lake runs long and deep along Otisfield's edge, and by late October the hardwood on Bell Hill gives up its color to the first hard rain. Marcotte's Tree Care Inc. is out on the gravel roads then, taking down the ash and hollow maples marked over the summer and working them into pieces small enough to move off a soft shoulder. Pruning goes on all season — a crown thinned above a camp, deadwood dropped out of a yard oak, limbs raised so a driveway stops brushing the truck mirrors. When ice or wind closes a road up here the cleanup starts before dawn, and the reward is a dooryard you can drive into again. Otisfield, Oxford, Casco, Harrison, Norway and Poland are the neighborhood.
