There is one week in May when everything in Old Orchard Beach turns at once — lilacs at the corner, the first honest green in the lawns, and a first mow finally worth doing. Robillard's Garden Center meets that week ready, opening yards with a spring cleanup and then holding them all summer with regular mowing, trimming and edging. Mulch renews the beds, borders get their shape back, and clippings go out with the crew. When the leaves come down in October, a fall cleanup closes the yard the way it opened, tidy and squared away. Between those bookends the grass simply looks cared for, week after week.
