Good Neighbors Lawn Care

About Good Neighbors Lawn Care

Oakland wakes up with Messalonskee — Snow Pond, if you grew up here — flat as tin at six in the morning, loons still out on the far side of it. Good Neighbors Lawn Care rolls out about then, cutting camp lawns down near the shore and house lots up along the roads that climb back from the water. Shoreline grass grows thick and damp and wants a keen blade and an early cut, taken before the day gets its heat up. Mowing, edging and weekly upkeep is the shape of the work, kept on a schedule so nothing ever gets ahead of itself. There is a particular pleasure in a lakeside yard finished by midmorning, striped clean, the whole afternoon handed back to whoever lives there.
