There is an hour in late June when North Yarmouth turns gold — light coming sideways across the old orchard rows, swallows working the air above cut grass. CSM Landscaping spends that hour finishing: the last pass mown, the string trimmer shut off, edges drawn crisp along a walk near Old Town House Park. Lawn care in a town built out of farm lots means reading ground that changes field by field, some of it sandy toward Toddy Brook, some heavy and slow to dry after rain. The mowing lines go straight because straight looks like care, and the clippings come off the drive because nobody should have to sweep up after us. A yard kept well is a small, ordinary kind of beautiful, and this town is full of them.
