Plow a driveway you have paved and you plow it differently — you know where the pitch runs, where water sits, where the blade wants to catch. Roundy's Paving brings that to Newport winters: drives and lots plowed clean, edges held off the lawn, walkways opened, sand and salt on the slick spots before they set. The first real storm usually turns up in November, when the ground underneath is still warm and everything goes to slush and then to rink overnight. The goal never changes — dark pavement, clean corners, and a place that is open before the household wakes. Bare asphalt in January is a small and entirely reasonable pleasure.
