R A Paradis & Son

About R A Paradis & Son

Some Newport driveways are a quarter mile of gravel with an open field on either side, and by February the banks stand so high the plow has nowhere left to put anything. R A Paradis & Son handles that end of winter: drives and lots plowed, banks pushed back to open the sightlines again, walks cleared and sand down where thaw-and-freeze has turned everything to glass. The long farm drives out toward Detroit and Plymouth take the wind hardest, and they get the extra pass. It is heavy work done quietly, mostly in the dark, mostly before anyone else is up. The measure of it is a truck that reaches the road without a second thought.
