About Mainely Hardscapes

October around Newburgh Center goes fast and loud — leaves letting go all at once, frost sitting in the low ground by morning, the light coming in sideways off the hills. Mainely Hardscapes is out clearing it: leaves lifted off the turf, borders trimmed back, the yard stripped down before the ground locks up. The rest of the year is the mowing rotation, edging along walks and drives, and trimming the corners and margins that make a lawn look finished instead of merely cut. Where the lawn has worn through, seed goes in before the cold. Handing a homeowner a bare, even lawn in late fall is a quiet kind of pride, and it lasts all winter.
