About RidgeRock

October is Morrill's loudest month, at least in color: sugar maples along the back roads go scarlet, the oaks follow in rust, and the Waldo County hills look lit from the inside. RidgeRock spends that stretch of the year among the leaves, clearing lawns, raking out along the stone walls and taking the season's final mowings before the ground goes hard. The town is small and set back from the coast, a place of fields, woodlots and wide views across the county. Getting a yard clear before the first snowfall is unglamorous labor, but it pays off in April when the grass comes through bright instead of smothered. RidgeRock takes as much pride in that spring reveal as in the autumn tidying itself.
