About Mike Corey the Handy Man

Three rivers meet at Milo — the Sebec, the Pleasant and the Piscataquis — and in January they run dark between white banks while the old rail yard sits quiet under a foot of new snow. Mike Corey the Handy Man plows the town through all of that: driveways, turnarounds and walkways, opened after a storm and reopened once the town plow packs the end of the drive shut again. Piscataquis County winter is honest work and it starts well before daylight. Getting an older neighbor's drive open before they have their boots laced is reason enough to be up. Milo and the villages nearby are all within the round.
