About Aroostook Lawn & Landscape, LLC

In Mapleton the sky does most of the talking — miles of it, over potato ground that runs green all summer and lies white and level from November on. Aroostook Lawn & Landscape, LLC works both halves of that year: mowing and trimming the dooryards along Route 163 while the fields are in bloom, then plowing the same drives open when the county disappears under a foot of new snow. There is a particular satisfaction in a lawn cut clean to the edge with Haystack Mountain sitting blue on the horizon behind it. There is another in the sound of a blade at four in the morning, and a household stepping out at seven onto pavement that is simply, quietly clear. This is ground-level work for the homes and lots of Mapleton and the towns around Presque Isle.
