Scoop and Coast

About Scoop and Coast

Late in the day, sea fog slips in over the island and softens everything it touches: the beach roses, the narrow island roads, the long pale curve of Andrews Beach. Scoop and Coast does lawn care on Long Island, mowing the yards tucked between weathered fences and wind-bent pines. Grass by the sea grows its own stubborn way, tough and salt-bitten, and cutting it clean takes patience and a good eye. When the fog lifts the next morning, each yard emerges trimmed and bright, as if the island had tidied itself overnight. Out here, a boat ride from the mainland, that freshly mown green feels like home ground.
