About The Stump Guy LLC

Lincolnville runs from the pebbled shore at Lincolnville Beach, where the island ferry comes and goes, up into the forested ridges above Penobscot Bay. In country this steep and wooded, big spruce and pine come down in the wind, and what they leave behind is a stubborn stump in the middle of the yard. The Stump Guy LLC takes on exactly that job, grinding stumps away and tending lawns so the ground can run green and even again. It is a quiet triumph to watch a stump that defied the mower summer after summer turn into a soft heap of chips. Afterward, with the bay glinting below through the trees, a Lincolnville yard is open to the light once more.
