The morning after a nor'easter, the twin spires of Saints Peter and Paul stand out of all that white like the only fixed thing left in town. Limb-It Tree and Landscape is on the roads by then, plowing driveways and lots, shoveling walks and entries, sanding whatever has iced over. Wet Lewiston snow packs heavy and sets like plaster if it is left alone, so the first pass matters far more than the second. Clean to the surface, banks pushed back to make room for the next one, doorways opened wide enough to carry something through. It is blunt work with a quiet reward — everybody gets where they were going.
