Burchill & Co

About Burchill & Co

Every April the Kenduskeag Stream comes up brown and loud through Levant, and a few weeks later the fields on either side turn the green that means the mowers can start. Burchill & Co works that calendar — first cuts once the ground firms, then a steady run through a Penobscot County summer that grows grass faster than anyone expects. Trim lines around the well cap and the clothesline post, edges held along the drive, clippings blown back off the pavement. When the leaves come down the cleanup takes them, and the yard heads into the cold looking finished. Country lawns, cut with care, one week to the next.
