The Salmon Falls River draws the state line down Lebanon's whole western side, gathering water the length of the town before it goes. Two Rivers Landscaping works that valley ground — mowing and trimming from the first flush of spring through the last warm week of October. Then the season flips and it is plowing and clearing instead: drives, dooryards and walkways opened while the river is still steaming in the cold. Valley snow lands wet and packs down fast, and it wants moving early rather than admired from the porch. The same two rhythms every year, and every year the town wakes up to open ground.
