Lamoine looks straight across Frenchman Bay at the mountains of Mount Desert, and on a still morning Cadillac shows up twice — once in the sky and once in the water. McMullen Landscape keeps the lawns of that shoreline through the short bright summer, mowing and trimming between fog banks that come up the bay without asking. Down at Lamoine Beach the wind is honest all year, and by December it drives snow across the field roads into hard blue drifts. That is when the work turns to plowing and opening driveways and walkways, so nobody in Lamoine is left waiting on the county. Two seasons, both of them big weather, both of them worth doing properly.
