Billy Goat Landscaping & Lawn

About Billy Goat Landscaping & Lawn

West of the village the Kennebunk Plains open into sand and low blueberry, a rare stretch of grassland where the wind has nothing to lean on. Billy Goat Landscaping & Lawn keeps its decks sharp for the tamer grass closer to home — the yards along the back roads that want a level cut and the clippings gone by supper. When the first hard week of December arrives, the same trucks turn to plowing, opening driveways while the barrens sit under a blue crust. There is a plain satisfaction in a lawn mowed in one unbroken pass, and in a dooryard cleared wide enough to turn a car around without thinking twice. Kennebunk hands out both halves of the year in full measure, and this is a crew built for both.
