Sampson Lawn Care

About Sampson Lawn Care

Late August in Gorham village, the shade comes down over South Street and the hayfields toward Fort Hill go gold at the edges. Sampson Lawn Care spends those weeks mowing, trimming and edging — the small repeated work that keeps a yard from sliding back into a field. Cutting in this town means learning it lawn by lawn: the wet corner that never dries, the strip of ledge that eats a blade, the slope that has to be taken across. A stripe laid even from the sidewalk to the back fence, and a walkway edge you could set a ruler against, is the whole ambition. Come November the leaves drop all at once, and the season closes with everything raked, gathered and gone.
