About Sophia Design

There is a half hour on Route 88 when the sun drops behind Falmouth and the bay goes the color of a nickel, and the lawns along the shore road look poured rather than grown. Sophia Design chases that look with plain, repeated work — mowing to a consistent height, trimming where a deck cannot reach, and edging every walk and bed so the shapes stay legible. Spring and fall cleanups deal with what the wind off the water leaves behind, which around here is a great deal. The work covers Falmouth and extends to Cumberland, Yarmouth, Portland and Westbrook. Tidy is not a small ambition; it is most of the art.
