About Atlantic Turf Care

On a June morning at the Foreside the fog lifts off Casco Bay in sheets, and the lawns come out of it dark green and soaked. Atlantic Turf Care works that salt-air edge of Falmouth, where grass grows fast and thick right up to the point the ground turns to ledge and rugosa. Mowing on schedule, trimming and edging along walks and stonework, spring opening and fall leaf work — the plain calendar of keeping a coastal lawn looking deliberate. Falmouth is the base, with Cumberland, Yarmouth and Portland close at hand. There is a moment after the last pass when the wind comes up off the water and the whole lawn moves at once; that is the payoff.
